Basic Mathematics for Faculty of Economics and Management Sciences (FEM 102) is a foundational course designed to equip students with essential mathematical tools required for effective analysis, planning, and decision-making in business and management environments. The course emphasises practical applications of mathematical concepts to real-world managerial problems in areas such as economics, finance, accounting, marketing and consumer studies operations, and business analytics. Rather than focusing on theory alone, the course develops students’ numerical reasoning, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills, enabling them to interpret data, evaluate alternatives, and make informed managerial decisions.
