The roles of private institutions and public policies in worker compensation, employment, unemployment, and the distribution of labour-market earnings. The essence of the course is to facilitate knowledge about the allocation of human resources through the labour market and the utilisation of human resources by firms. Topics covered include human capital theory, labour market analysis in terms of labour supply and demand, labour cost, and determinants of wage and compensation differentials.
